DriveMapper is a program that enables managing of multiple drive mappings from a single screen. This is usually used by users to navigate data either at home or in the office.
The task of this software is focused on network drive mapping. For example, if the user is in the office, he or she can access his computer at home using the network maps. It creates a master drive map file for the user’s network. With this software, adding more network drives to another computer is possible.
To perform drive mapping, users are required to key in their IP address rather than just sharing names. Also, users should connect to their router and set it to “Static” mode. After that, enter the password and user name. Drive Mapping are stored in a DAT file that protects passwords. Now, launch Network Drive Mapper.exe. Finally, click on “MAP ALL.” Users should use –C arguments to run the application. This is also the same when unmapping the network.
DriveMapper is a portable freeware which can be downloaded with operating systems like Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows 2003.
