Dotfuscator Community Edition
If you are looking for Dotfuscator Community Edition, you have come to the right place. We explain what Dotfuscator Community Edition is and point you to the official download.
What is Dotfuscator Community Edition?
Dotfuscator protects your .NET applications from unwanted risks such as piracy, hacking and intellectual property theft. Its protection works mainly when your .NET program’s source code is not tied up with the application. PreEmptive Solutions’ Dotfuscator is a .NET obfuscator, compactor, watermarker that protects applications from reverse engineering while making them work more efficiently and smaller in size.
Dotfuscator has three editions: Professional, Standard and Community editions. The Professional edition provides a comprehensive package with a lot of added features. Dotfuscator Community Edition 3.0 provides .NET code protection by using patented Overload Induction system of renaming to eliminate meaning from Methods, Fields, Types and Namespaces. It provides power and convenience features such as application type and custom attribute configurations, obfuscating .NET 2.0 applications and configurations using regular or other matching expressions.
New changes in Dotfuscator 3.0 version include declarative obfuscation by using two new custom attributes for automatic obfuscation without the need for file configuration, modified algorithm to find referenced assemblies, full support for applications such as friend assemblies and generic methods and types compiled in .NET Framework 2.0, and moving the disable/enable checkboxes of features[from previous versions] to Options tab as properties under Feature category.
