Daum PotPlayer, also known as PotPlayer, is a free media player that has its own set of codecs, which make the player compatible with some of the most popular and commonly-used video and audio formats today.
The player was developed by a Korean company called Daum Communications. The player can recognize and run videos streamed from the Internet, as well as audio and video files captured from external devices such as portable music player, CD, DVD, digital camera, image scanner, and digital recorders. PotPlayer also supports analog and digital TV (with TV tuner installed on the system).
The player provides several options for customizing audio and video output. Color adjustments, screen size, aspect ratio settings, audio equalizer, pre-defined audio settings and playback settings are included with the player. Users can also prevent the screen saver from appearing after the player has been idle for specified time, and set the player to automatically close at specific times as well. Users can display movie captions and subtitles and display or hide the playlist.
