MSD Ignition’s DashHawk is a vehicle information display device, one that can make up for vehicles where dashboard gauges and display tools deliver less information than the user would like. DashHawk can make up for a dearth of gauges by grabbing data from a car’s diagnostic port and making that easily accessible to the user in a device with a compact but efficient form-factor.
DashHawk can collect and display as many as 100 data parameters for a single given vehicle: from the RPM of an automobile to the water temperature, it can deliver all of these with just a few button-presses from the user. However, there is a caveat: the program is designed to work only with ports using the OBDII standard with a controller area network. Most of today’s vehicles meet these requirements, fortunately, although older cars may not.
DashHawk also has data logging, which means users can check their data later for post-drive analysis at their leisure—however, given the product’s age, the data can only be checked on computers with older OSs (unless some compatibility workaround is used), such as Windows XP. All data is tracked in real time and all the readouts can be customized.
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files DashHawk can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
