Codec Detective is commonly known as Sherlock, The Codec Detective which is developed by Marc Liron. It is a small but innovative program downloadable to Windows XP Professional, Windows XP Home Edition and Windows Vista. You can simply install it by modem in less time.
There only two key distinctive features of Sherlock The Codec Detective. These include checkup of codecs, both from audio to video, installed on the computer (and if there’s any damaged or broken) and data export to text files.
Two versions of Sherlock the Codec Detective are Version 2.0 and Version 1.1. Version 1.1 was released in October of 2004 and after a month, Version 2.0 was launched. Version 1.1 highlights detection routines of codecs. At its default setting, the first codec located on the left side of the list box is selected and the codec on the right side is not left behind or empty at all. Version 2.0 has additional and improved features. They include the FourCC code which is displayed, optional printing of codec and status reports and reliability on the ACM/VCM codecs.
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files Codec Detective can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
