What is Classic Shell?

Classic Shell is a collection of features that were available in older versions of Windows but are removed from Vista and Windows 7. It has a classic start menu in Windows 7. It also adds a toolbar for Windows Explorer. Classic Shell adds some missing features in Windows 7 and Vista, such as a classic start menu, and toolbars for Explorer and others. New features in this version include new ADMX files to allow controlling all settings through group policy, secure download of language files and new versions, and minor improvements and bug fixes.

Classic Shell is a software that improves the user’s productivity, enhances the usability of Windows, and empowers him to use the computer any way he likes it. The main features include a customizable start menu with multiple styles and skins, access to recent frequently used or pinned programs, finding programs, settings, files and documents, and a start button for Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1. It also has a caption and a status bar for Internet Explorer. System requirements include a Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2008 operating system.
