Bandoo Media’s Bandoo is a small and lightweight desktop application that customizes your chat client, such as the AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), Yahoo Messenger or the Windows Live Messenger with a variety of exclusive emoticons, effects, and themes. Although certified as a clean download by McAfee, the Bandoo application installs other unwanted applications to its users without their knowledge and consent. The emoticons may or may not also be visible to those at the other end of the conversation depending on the IM client and their versions they’re running, which makes installing it a risk.
Aside from this, Bandoo has also come under criticism because some of its emoticons are a bit rude and offend other people’s sensibilities. However, looking past these issues, Bandoo offers an unprecedented way of customizing your chat with literally hundreds of emoticons that you’d be hard-pressed to find a suitable emoticon to use with your chat buddy. Upon installation, it will automatically be able to offer you these emoticons, winks, nudges, animations, user pictures and even ASCII art right out of the box. There are also other and special Bandoo features that are packaged with the application, although of course the emoticons remain its strength and selling feature.
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files Bandoo can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
