Band-in-a-Box is easy to use. Users just need to type in the chords for any song that uses standard chord symbols, such as C, Fm7, or C13b9. Users can also choose the style that they like, and Band-in-a-Box will do the rest. Band-in-a-Box also automatically generates a complete, professional quality arrangement of piano, bass, drums, guitar, strings, and horns. RealTracks can add the human element of great session musicians to the user’s songs. Its latest version has a new look with a redesigned GUI, 54 MIDI SuperTracks, 36 Artist Performances, and new Hi-Q MIDI sounds.
Band-in-a-Box is a program suitable for guitarists, since it allows them to make their own jam tracks. It also sounds good if the user has a software midi synth, and a soundcard. Its GUI has been redesigned with a new look, and new time-saving features have also been added. These include new toolbars, song/style areas, an on-screen mixer, and a redesigned chord sheet with handwritten, real-looking chord fonts. It also has a new Master Volume, support for Acidized Loops, Instant Preview of styles, and RealDrums.
