Babylon Client

What is Babylon Client?

Babylon is a desktop application used for translation and conversion, which can translate to and from any of its repertoire of 75 languages, from English, German and French to Chinese, Japanese, and Thai, and offers full translation even to right to left languages, or languages with another writing system or alphabet. As an operational overview, the Babylon Translation Software can be used to proofread and translate specific snippets of text or whole pages of text to a target language; additionally, you can use the Babylon Translation Software to grammar-check or check your text for consistency and syntax, if you are writing in your non-native language, and all of this done in a single click, with nearly zero configuration required. Babylon also has a web interface for free translation services, similar to Google Translate.

Babylon offers human translation (accurate results within an hour of the query), but this is of course a paid service and is web-based. Software such as Babylon are almost outdated with the proliferation of free and more full-featured translation services in the Internet, such as the aforementioned Google Translate, that offer nearly the same capabilities and accuracy as paid software; the Babylon client is also prone to crash and bog down a computer’s performance significantly.
