AIMP is a free music player that can be downloaded from the developer’s website. The music player was originally developed by Artem Izmaylov, hence; the name AIMP which stands for Artem Izmayov Media Player.
The music player comes with all the basics: play music files, audio library, playlist and friendly User Interface. The software however, does not offer only the basic functions of a media player; it has added features that enable the user to record online radio, and play up to twenty different audio file formats; converting between formats so you can play all the songs in your playlist no matter what format is has.
You can also manually convert audio formats from one to the next, i.e. audio CD to MP3. The music player also has an 18-band equalizer for adding effects to the audio files being played. For clear and crisp sound, audio files are processed and rendered as a 32-bit audio file.
As an added bonus, the user has the option to set a timer for the Auto Shutdown so that the computer will automatically shut down.
