A.C.I.D. Wizard, which stands for “Alcohol Cloaking Initiative for DRM”, is a SCSI drive protector. It functions to hide emulated drives from SafeDisc 4 and SecuROM 7. In fact, this is based on the Y.A.S.U. application (Yet Another SecuROM Utility), which is a small tool SCSI drive protector too. The origin of Y.A.S.U. application is from the development of sYk0 but A.C.I.D Wizard is not clear about where it came from.
A.C.I.D. Wizard is used in a software product called Alcohol 120%, which is an optical disc- authoring program and disk-image emulator. The A.C.I.D. Wizard works with this program to the effect of being a disk image emulator. Only the latest version of Alcohol 120% contains this software (A.C.I.D. Wizard) and the former versions used to have the Y.A.S.U. application. Moreover, A.C.I.D. Wizard does not have to be downloaded separately as it comes with the software Alcohol 120%. You just have to get the Alcohol 120% installed in the computer to see how it functions with it. In case you are wondering, Alcohol 120% does convert image files to ISO format files and mount disc images with support of Media Description Image disc image format files.
