What are WPOSTX files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a WPOSTX file or just wondering what they contain? We explain what these files are used for and show you software that we know can open or otherwise handle your files.
What is a WPOSTX file?
The .wpostx file extension is used for a proprietary document file format that was developed by Microsoft Corporation. These WPOSTX files are also known as Microsoft Windows Live Writer post files. A .wpostx document may contain saved text, formatting attributes and digital multimedia content that can be added to blog posts. These WPOSTX files are generated by the Windows Live Writer software, which is a desktop blog publishing tool that was also developed by Microsoft Corporation. This software is bundled with other tools and utilities in the Windows Essentials suite of programs. The Windows Live Writer software can be used to create, edit and view the content of these .wpostx documents. There are no known applications that are capable of exporting or converting these WPOSTX files to other standard document file formats.
