What is Perl Express?

Perl Express is an integrated development environment (IDE) tool under Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, and 2003. It contains different tools for debugging and writing users’ perl programs. This program is meant for both professional and experienced Perl developers and for beginners as well. Version 2.5, Perl Express is available without limitations, and does not require any registration.

Different scripts are formed from running, debugging, and editing. It contains complete server simulation, with integrated debugging that has stepping, displaying, breakpoints, and variable values. Queries are made from internal Web browser or Query editors. Users will be able to test MySQL and MS Access scripts for Windows. This program also has some interactive I/Os, multiple input files, and lets users set the environment variables used for running and debugging scripts. It has a customizable code editor that contains syntax highlighting, printing, bookmarks, line numbering, an unlimited text size, search, and a column selection. Perl Express also has a search and replace engine, with multi-level redo and undo options, as well as a margin and gutter. Users will be able to highlight matching braces. This program contains line ending support for Windows, Unix, and Mac. A live preview of the scripts is also available in the internal web browser.
