What is Macromedia FreeHand MX?

Macromedia FreeHand MX is a drawing program from Adobe Systems that allow the user to create 2D vector graphics for printing or publishing on the Web. The software features a selection of tools that allow the user to fully define the attributes of each part of the image or drawing. Under the Properties option, users customize the effects that will be applied on the drawing through the Objects tab. Users can add distortions, blur parts of the drawing, or apply bevel or drop shadow effects.

Users can also apply perspective grid on a 3D object so this can be viewed on a 2D platform. The software also allows for viewing of SWF movies, as well as importing these onto the layouts to add animation, designs and effects.

The software also allows for installation of plug-ins for Illustrator and Photoshop; import PDF files, and export graphics to Macromedia Flash. It also features a spell checker, a cropping tool, Java and AppleScript automation, freeform tool; emboss effects, and gradient fill.
