What is Kingsoft Office?
Kingsoft Office is office software that provides the user with three basic office applications: Writer, Presentation and Spreadsheets. The software was developed to give users an alternative to Microsoft Office, while also allowing them to view and edit MS Office files that correspond with Kingsoft Office’s applications: MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
There is a free version of the software, the latest of which is the Kingsoft Office Suite Free 2012. The Office Suite contains all three office applications; however, each of the applications can also be downloaded separately or as standalone software. There are likwise free versions for each of the Kingsoft Office apps: Kingsoft Writer Free 2012, Kingsoft Presentatin Free 2012 and Kingsoft Spreadsheets Free 2012.
The software features a Paragraph Adjustment tool for the Writer app, where the user can drag and drop an entire paragraph onto the layout page and the paragraph will adjust according to the layout chosen from the Paragraph Layout option.
The user can also compare two Writer documents at a time through the View Side by Side option, under the View tab. The software serves as a PDF converter as well, where the user can convert documents written through Kingsoft Office apps to PDF, or open and convert MS Office documents written through Word, Excel or PowerPoint to PDF format.
