What is Ashampoo Photo Commander?
Ashampoo Photo Commander 9 [latest version] offers functionalities for your digital photos including editing, management, optimization and presentation. Management features include creating groups, virtual picture albums and picture tagging. You can create slideshows, HTML albums, collages, greeting cards and calendars with your own images that you can share with whoever you want to. You can scan images, print photos and create screenshots, and send them by E-mail or burn them to disc.
Quick-fix modes for your editing include crop images, picture rotation, horizontal alignment, remove red eye and more. You can optimize your photo quality by applying effects such as pixelization, inversion or contour outlining. You can perform batch processes for your image files such as batch conversion to a different format. The Dual View Mode is a new feature that allows you to view the original picture and the one under editing. The IPTC wizard makes it easy to index pictures with tags by filtering them and grouping them according to tags.
Other new features include an extended interface, improved miniatures overview with functions for grouping, importing of MFA and M3L files as albums, automatic placing of photos into subfolders based on date taken information [EXIF data], automatic red eye detection, improved eraser, miniature effect to transform photos into miniature look, new blur and sharp effects, enhanced video playback especially for HD MPEG4 video files and touchscreen support.
