Opening THM files

Did your computer fail to open a THM file? We explain what THM files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your THM files.

What is a THM file?

THM files are small images that are usually used on the Internet for clip art and in online image galleries or image galleries that are contained on a user's hard drive or camera. These images are commonly referred to as thumbnails. They are also created by a variety of photo and video editing applications. Some digital cameras use the .thm extension to save small icons of the photographs that have been captured by the user's digital camera.

The .thm extension is also used by the OpenOffice Open Source software to store the software's configuration application. OpenOffice is a freeware application that is commonly used as an alternative to the applications that are available in the Microsoft Office suite.
