Opening INFO files

Did your computer fail to open an INFO file? We explain what INFO files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your INFO files.

What is an INFO file?

The .info file extension is most commonly given to files that have been created by Canon's ZoomBrowser software. This software allows you to download, organize and edit the pictures you have taken with your Canon digital camera. In some cases, this file extension will show up in the ZbThumbnail.info file, which is a hidden file that is generated by the Canon ZoomBrowser.

In other instances, the .info extension may also be given to help files that have been created with Texinfo. Texinfo is the official format for the UNIX GNU project.

The .info file extension may also be used for generic information files used by a variety of software applications.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
