Opening IFS files

Did your computer fail to open an IFS file? We explain what IFS files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your IFS files.

What is an IFS file?

The .ifs file extension is used by a variety of software applications for a number of file formats. Files with the .ifs file extension are most commonly associated with OS/2 installable file systems.

The .ifs file extension is also used for Fractint files, IconForge library files, YuvPak compressed image files, InfoSlips files and Fractal Explorer files.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
