What is a GVI file (a file with file extension GVI)?
Files that contain the .gvi file extension are most commonly associated with the Google Video Player media playback application. The GVI files that are used by this media player contain videos that are distributed over the Internet for use with the Google Video Player media playback software.
The GVI file format is similar to the AVI file format, but the GVI files are created specifically for use with the Google Video Player and cannot be played on other media playback applications. The GVI files can, however, be changed to AVI files to make the files more versatile and viewable by a wider audience.
