Opening FIL files

Did your computer fail to open a FIL file? We explain what FIL files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your FIL files.

What is a FIL file?

Files that have been given the .fil file extension are database storage files. These files are used by a number of computer applications including ACL for Windows, dBase, AVG Antivirus and Cardbox. These FIL files contain a list of database objects that have been stored within the database or an associated computer application.

On some occasions, the .fil file extension will also be given to files that have been created by the Zenworks Desktop Management application. These files are application source files that have been created by the Zenworks Desktop Management snAppShot utility.

The Symbian S60 smartphone application also uses the FIL file extension for rile that store Nokia logo images.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
