Opening FDB files

Did your computer fail to open a FDB file? We explain what FDB files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your FDB files.

What is a FDB file?

Files with the .fdb extension are most commonly associated with portfolio catalog files. These files contain a database of images used by the image organization and cataloging applications, such as the Extensis Portfolio software. The FDB files contain metadata and thumbnail images for each file stored in the portfolio catalogs.

The .fdb file extension is also used for database files, FeedDemon SQLlite data files, FormTool Pro form files and Ming font files.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
