What is a DB file (a file with file extension DB)?
Files with the .db extension normally contain generic database files. These files store data in tables and they are created by a variety of database applications.
The .db file extension is also associated with the Thumbnail database files that are created within in the Windows Operating System. The Oracle database is another application that is commonly used to create files with the .db extension.
