What are BIS files and how to open them

Are you having problems opening a BIS file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your BIS files.

What is a BIS file?

Files that contain the .bis file extension are files that have been created with the BeInSync software application.

BeInSync is a marketing and synchronization software that saves copies of the files that are located on your server and adds the .bis file extension to the files that are saved with the program. For example, if you have a Word file with the file name document.doc on your server or computer, BeInSync would save the file backed up file as document.doc.bis.

This software allows a user to synchronize the files on their server or computer with hard drives of other computers and/or mobile devices.

Important: Different programs may use files with the BIS file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your BIS file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
