What is a AV file (a file with file extension AV)?
Files that contain the .av file extension are most commonly used for the Final Draft script-writing software. Authors can use this software to create scripts for commercials, training videos, presentations and documentaries. The scripts that are written with the software are saved with the .av file extension.
While Final Draft does work much like a typical word processing application, the Final Draft documents that are saved in the AV file format provide a place for columns in the document that align with the audio and video that will be a part of the final product that the script is being written for.
