What is a AUT file (a file with file extension AUT)?
Files that contain the .aut file extension are most commonly associated with the AutoIt v3 scripting language. AutoIt v3 was designed to automate the creation of Windows GUI and general scripts.
The AutoIT scripting language is similar in nature to the BASIC programming language. Script files that are written in the AutoIt v3 language are saved with the .aut file extension.
The .aut file suffix is also associated with the Signwave software application. These AUT files contain the auto-illustrator files that are created with the Signwave application.
The .aut file extension has also been known to be associated with IPIX project files.
