What is a ACRODATA file (a file with file extension ACRODATA)?
Files that contain the .acrodata file extension are most commonly used by the Adobe Acrobat PDF creation software. Adobe Acrobat was created by Adobe to allow users to create innovative portable document format files. These files allow users to share documents with one another even if they do not have the same software that the file was created with.
The ACRODATA files that are used by the Acrobat application contain the data that defines the settings that are used by the software, such as the application's security and appearance settings. If a user changes the default settings of the software, the program's ACRODATA files are automatically updated.
