What is an OPS file?

An .OPS file is a Microsoft Office Profile Settings file.

The OPS files contain a user's profile settings saved within the Microsoft Office software. A variety of information regarding a user's custom settings for their Microsoft Office applications is stored within the OPS file.

The data can be used to export the settings to another computer or to restore the settings on the user's current system if the data becomes corrupt.

The OPS file format is used for the 2003 version of Microsoft Office. Other versions of the software do not use the .ops file suffix.
